Crisp, bright and beautifully patterned, Caladium ‘Snow Flurry’ produces heart-shaped leaves washed almost completely in white, with deep green margins and intricate green markings sweeping across the foliage.

The contrast gives each leaf a wonderfully frosted appearance, while subtle variations in the pattern mean no two leaves look exactly alike. Light and airy but still wonderfully dramatic, ‘Snow Flurry’ is perfect for bringing brightness to a tropical indoor plant collection.

Caladiums naturally have a dormant period, so don't be alarmed if the foliage begins to die back as the growing season ends. The tuber rests beneath the soil before returning to growth when conditions are right.

OUR THOUGHTS

This one really does earn the name ‘Snow Flurry’. The leaves look as though someone has swept white paint across them and left just enough deep green around the edges and veins to show off every heart-shaped leaf. It's bright, crisp and completely different from the pink-heavy Caladiums around it.

GROW WITH CONFIDENCE

Looking After Your Plant

Watering

During active growth, keep the growing medium lightly and consistently moist without allowing it to become waterlogged. Water when the upper layer begins to dry and allow excess water to drain freely. As the plant enters dormancy and its foliage begins to die back, gradually reduce watering and keep the resting tuber much drier.

Light

Give ‘Snow Flurry’ plenty of bright, indirect light to encourage healthy growth and maintain the beautiful contrast between its white and green foliage. Avoid prolonged harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch its thin leaves.

Humidity & Temperature

‘Snow Flurry’ appreciates warm conditions and medium to high humidity. Keep it away from cold draughts, radiators and sudden temperature changes. Additional humidity can help support its delicate foliage, although good airflow remains important.

Feeding

Feed lightly with a balanced houseplant fertiliser around once a month while ‘Snow Flurry’ is actively growing, following the manufacturer's instructions. Stop feeding when growth slows or the plant begins entering dormancy, then resume once fresh growth appears.

Repotting & Growth

Caladium ‘Snow Flurry’ grows from an underground tuber and produces its beautiful foliage during its active growing season. Repot when needed into a light, airy and well-draining mix, using a pot with good drainage. Caladiums naturally enter dormancy, when their foliage may yellow and die back. During this resting period, reduce watering significantly and allow the tuber to rest until fresh growth begins.

Pet Safety

Caladium ‘Snow Flurry’ is not considered pet safe and should be kept out of reach of cats, dogs and other pets that may chew the foliage. If you suspect your pet has eaten part of the plant, contact your vet for advice.

A NOTE FROM US

Snow Flurry might look delicate, but the biggest trick is simply understanding its yearly rhythm. Keep it warm, give it bright indirect light and lightly moist soil while it's growing, then don't panic when dormancy arrives. Ease off the watering and let the tuber rest until it's ready to make its comeback.
