Its broad, textured foliage forms a wonderfully full plant, with new leaves unfurling to reveal flashes of red amongst the green. There's something beautifully moody about this one. At first glance it's a mass of lush green foliage, then you notice all those rich red edges curling through the plant and the flashes of burgundy hiding underneath. No official cultivar name came with it, but it certainly didn't arrive without character.

Looking After Your Plant
Watering
Allow the upper layer of the growing medium to begin drying before watering thoroughly, then allow all excess water to drain away. Aim for lightly moist rather than constantly wet soil and avoid leaving the pot standing in water. Where possible, water the growing medium rather than repeatedly wetting the foliage.
Light
Give this Rex Begonia plenty of bright, indirect light to support healthy growth and maintain its rich green and red colouring. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can scorch or fade the foliage.
Humidity & Temperature
Rex Begonias appreciate medium to high humidity, but good airflow is important. Avoid regularly misting or leaving the textured foliage wet for prolonged periods. Keep the plant comfortably warm and away from cold draughts, hot radiators and sudden temperature changes.
Feeding
Feed with a balanced houseplant fertiliser around once a month during active growth in spring and summer, following the manufacturer's instructions. Reduce feeding during autumn and winter when growth naturally slows.

A NOTE FROM US
Those curled red edges are what make this one for us. Keep it somewhere with plenty of bright indirect light so the foliage can really show itself off, and aim for lightly moist soil rather than swinging between soaking wet and bone dry. Try to keep water off the leaves too.
