Aglaonema ‘Jungle Lava’

Allow the upper few centimetres of the growing medium to dry before watering thoroughly, then let all excess water drain away. Avoid keeping the roots constantly wet or leaving the pot standing in water. Water less frequently during cooler months when growth slows.

Give Jungle Lava bright, indirect light to encourage strong growth and help maintain its beautiful colouring. It can tolerate somewhat softer light, although growth may slow and the foliage may become less vibrant. Avoid prolonged harsh direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.

Jungle Lava appreciates average to moderately high household humidity and warm, stable conditions. A little additional humidity can help support healthy foliage, but avoid keeping the leaves constantly wet. Keep it away from cold draughts, radiators and sudden temperature changes.

Feed with a balanced houseplant fertiliser around once a month during active growth in spring and summer, following the manufacturer's instructions. Reduce feeding during autumn and winter when growth naturally slows.

Jungle Lava has a compact, bushy growth habit and doesn't require climbing support. Repot when noticeably root-bound, moving up only slightly in pot size and using a light, well-draining houseplant mix. Remove old or damaged leaves at the base when needed to keep the plant looking its best.

Aglaonema ‘Jungle Lava’ is not considered pet safe and should be kept out of reach of cats, dogs and other pets that may chew the foliage. If you suspect your pet has eaten part of the plant, contact your vet for advice.
